The IC693APU302 is a two-axis positioning module (APM) primarily used as a motion and position control component. The module is capable of controlling two (2) axes or two (2) servo motors to achieve simultaneous control of motion and position. The module is a smart module that can be configured to operate in both standard and slave station modes. In standard mode, the module runs and integrates the control with the user logic in the PLC memory for high-performance control. In Follower mode, the module provides high-performance electronic gears for master/slave applications. This module is downloaded using the Motion Programmer software package or the configuration developed by VersaPro software (minimum software version 1.1). The front panel of the module is fitted with two (2) moving-shaft ports and two (2) 25-pin high-density ports via 9-pin D-housing connectors designed to accommodate servo connections. Custom cables can be used to establish a connection to the module, however, pre-assembled cables can also be purchased to speed up wiring and terminating. These cables include the IC693CBL311, which is 10 feet /3 meters long; IC693CBL319 with cable length of 1 m /3 ft; IC693CBL317, 10 feet /3 meters in length, and an 8-inch externally shielded pigtail and cable length of 3 feet /1 meter IC693CBL320 and an 8-inch externally shielded pigtail. The 90-30 series compatible with the IC693APU302 two-axis APM are CPU 311, CPU 313, and CPU 323, where up to three (3) APM modules can be installed, and CPU 331 or higher, which allows up to eight (8) APM modules to be installed. Each baseboard has three (3) instances.

The IC693APU302 axis positioning module is a motion fit axis positioning module manufactured by GE Fanuc. It is a fully programmable intelligent module that allows PLC users to integrate their controllers with the advanced logic functions of the PLC to create a single combined system. It can be used with GE series 90-30 PLCS. The module can communicate directly with the machine and the control driver, and can even transfer data to the table of the PLC. Some of the key features of this module include independent control stability, automatic data transfer capabilities, maximum drive capability and improved system performance. The IC693APU302 axis positioning module also has the ability to calculate and enhance position error measurements to maintain tracking accuracy. It can be used to perform complex calculations required for precise control of servo systems. The IC693APU302 axis positioning module can be configured and programmed using VersaPro software or Logic developer-PLC software. The load requirement for this module is 800 MA current at +5 volts DC. It comes with a 24-pin high-density connector. The module is suitable for operation in both standard mode and slave mode. When operating in driven mode, it provides high performance electronic gear units for master/slave applications. Its motion configuration software provides a user interface for effectively controlling and monitoring the system. It also provides general programming commands such as speed, forward, move, and speed up/slow down commands. Its flash memory can store up to 10 programs and 40 subroutines. The APM Front panel panel features two 24-pin high-density connectors for servo connections. The IC693APU302 Motion Mate Axis Positioning Module can be used in servo control applications for very precise motion control.
