The IC693NIU004 is a 90-30 series programmable logic controller (PLC) module. This is an Ethernet Network Interface Unit (NIU), which is primarily used to implement a distributed I/O architecture on an Ethernet network, exchange I/O data using the Ethernet Global Data (EGD) protocol, and monitor and control remote systems through a simplex or fault-tolerant Ethernet network topology. The IC693NIU004 is equipped with two (2) Ethernet communication interfaces with automatic sensing, automatic negotiation functions, and supports 10/100 Mbps transmission rates. These ports use one (1) IP address and are therefore used as built-in Ethernet switches that can be used in linear, star, and ring topologies. The module is capable of processing and processing up to 2048 discrete inputs (%I); 2048 Discrete output (%Q); 1268 analog input words (%AI) and 512 analog output words (%AQ).
