Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 6 May 2024 - As a PIF company focused on transforming the global electronics and advanced industries industry and creating a world-class manufacturing hub in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Alat Enet announced at the Milken Institute Summit in Los Angeles, USA. Establishment of two new business units - Electrical Facilities and Equipment and artificial Intelligence Infrastructure. The two business units will address the unprecedented global demand for AI infrastructure and the urgent need to support the global energy transition through enhanced grid technology.
Electrification is a key objective for Alat Enat, not only to strengthen grid technology to achieve robustness and growth in technology applications. And with demand for electricity growing exponentially, generated by clean energy from solar, wind and hydrogen, electricity is the key energy source needed to power industrial processes. By combining Saudi Arabia's abundant solar and other clean energy resources with the power industry system, Alat Enat plans to create solutions that will significantly contribute to the global energy transition and decarbonization of industry.
The Electrical Facilities & Equipment segment will focus on transmission and distribution technology. It will also cover renewable energy access to the grid, as well as research and development of the latest technologies such as the production and compression of natural gas and hydrogen.
The AI Infrastructure segment focuses on the technologies and equipment required for AI, including networking and communications equipment, servers, data center networking equipment, data center storage, industrial edge servers, and Industry 4.0 computing. By combining AI with other Industry 4.0 technologies, including robotics, the business will enable smart manufacturing and the creation of smart factories to take a leap forward. The AI Infrastructure division not only manufactures solutions for Alat's customers, it also contributes to the achievement of Alat's advanced technology goals.
"I am pleased to announce the creation of these two exciting new divisions, which will contribute significantly to Alat's overall strategic goal of developing an advanced and sustainable industrial future," said Min Yidat, global CEO of Alat Enat.
In 2022, the global electrification market size reached $73.64 billion and is expected to reach about $172.9 billion in 2032, with a CAGR of 8.91% from 2023 to 2032. Currently, the global AI infrastructure market is growing significantly and is expected to reach $460.5 billion by 2033, with a compound annual growth rate of 28.3% over the decade. This growth is driven by the increasing adoption of AI technologies across industries, as companies gradually recognize the potential of AI to drive innovation, enhance decision-making processes, and perform automated tasks.
Driven by the global trend towards energy-efficient computing, Alat Enat has launched these two new business units to mitigate the environmental impact of large-scale data processing and the integration of renewable energy sources, including solar, wind and hydropower, into data centers and computing facilities. In addition, the AI Infrastructure division will design and build green data centers in the future, prioritizing energy efficiency, sustainability and environmental responsibility. The AI Infrastructure division and the Electrical Facilities and Equipment Division will also collaborate in the field of transportation, particularly in the development of autonomous vehicles and electric mobility solutions. Ai-driven transportation systems will leverage data analytics, machine learning algorithms, and sensor technology to optimize route planning, traffic management, and vehicle performance, thereby facilitating widespread adoption of trams to reduce vehicle dependence on fossil fuels.
Ai plays a vital role in optimizing the operation and management of the grid, enabling power providers to improve efficiency, reliability and sustainability. Ai-driven grid optimization solutions leverage advanced analytics tools, predictive modeling, and real-time control algorithms to balance supply and demand, integrate renewable energy, and enhance grid resilience in the face of disruptions or fluctuations.
As a gold sponsor of the Milken Institute Summit in Los Angeles, Alat Ennett currently has nine business units focused on sustainable technology manufacturing. By 2030, Alat Enat will invest $100 billion in these business units to develop important partnerships in Saudi Arabia and build advanced manufacturing capabilities to bring jobs and a diversified economy to Saudi Arabia.
