SECCO is the largest supplier of integrated chemical storage facilities in China, and its integrated business products include petroleum-injected ethylene crackers and ten downstream derivative plants using thousands of control valves of various brands, types and sizes. Due to the high variability of the end product due to temperature fluctuations in the process, coupled with the vibration of the pipe, the positioners on the relevant valves need to be maintained and replaced frequently. After SECCO engineers and Fisher valve experts from Emerson discussed various ways to address the issue, SECCO decided to replace the existing facility positioner at the plant with the Fisher®FIELDVUE™6200f digital valve positioner.
The DVC6200f has no link, non-contact position feedback function, which can reduce the problems caused by vibration; In addition, diagnostic and Foundation™ fieldbus communication capabilities provide timely and relevant alerts to operators when valve problems occur. The instrument can be easily installed on any valve, a feature that is particularly important in the case of the SECCO plant. In addition, with the DVC6200f's built-in diagnostic capability to predict potential problems, operators can quickly take the necessary actions to minimize process changes or avoid plant outages, enabling process reliability and performance.

With the installation of Emerson products, the SECCO facility has significantly increased stability and control, resulting in improved operations.
