Leading the new trend of motor predictive maintenance

In the rapid development of industrial automation today, the motor as the heart of the industry, its performance and maintenance has been the focus of manufacturing enterprises. Traditional motor maintenance relies on manual inspection, which is not only inefficient, but also prone to misjudgment. With the progress of science and technology, especially the integration of sensors and artificial intelligence technology, predictive maintenance of motors has ushered in revolutionary changes. In this wave, ADI, with its innovative sensor products and deep industry experience, is leading the new trend in predictive motor maintenance.

At this exhibition, ADI's OtoSense Smart Motor Sensor solution (SMS) attracted the attention of many visitors.
According to CAI Zhenyu, Industrial Marketing Director of ADI China, OtoSense SMS is a system-level solution consisting of data acquisition and communication hardware fixed to the motor heat sink, cloud-based software and algorithms, and client-side applications.

A unique feature of the scheme is that it does not have to be placed inside the motor, but is placed in the motor shell through vibration, magnetic field and temperature to judge the operation of the motor, just like the old Chinese medicine pulse, through continuous monitoring and combining AI capabilities, it can diagnose 9 common mechanical and electrical failures of the motor, and give corresponding instructions or warnings before these failures occur. In addition, by uploading the collected data to the cloud for analysis and learning, the system is able to continuously iterate and optimize the technology by updating software algorithms and transferring them to edge devices.

Highly integrated, low-cost pressure transmitter solution

As a commonly used sensor in industrial practice, pressure transmitters are widely used in various industrial automatic control environments, involving petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, medical, environmental control and other fields. After decades of development, its accuracy continues to improve, and its functions are gradually powerful. However, the traditional separation scheme commonly used in the market increases the complexity of system design and delays the progress of new product development.

The MAX40109 with the MAX32675 Industrial microcontroller provides a precise and reliable solution for gas or liquid pressure measurement in industrial processes. The system ensures the accuracy of pressure transmitters under harsh operating conditions and provides a new calibration method for traditional pressure sensors, reducing production complexity and cost. This innovation not only simplifies the calibration process, but also significantly reduces the size of the overall solution. ADI continues to innovate in the pressure sensor market, aiming to provide universal solutions that support a wide range of pressure sensor technologies to meet the growing demand for functional safety in the industrial market.
