The IC693MDL241 is a 24-volt AC/DC positive/negative input module in the 90-30 series manufactured by GE Fanuc. It has a set of 16 input points, all of which have a common power input terminal. It is designed to have positive or negative logic characteristics in DC input mode.

The IC693MDL241 is designed for use with user-supplied AC or DC inputs. The input features are applicable to a variety of user-supplied input devices, such as limit switches, buttons, and electronic proximity switches. The input voltage range of the module is 0 to +30 volts DC or 0 to +30 volts AC, 50/60 Hz, and the input current at rated voltage is 7 mA (typical value). Its on-state voltage is 11.5 to 30 volts AC or DC, while its off state is 0 to +4 volts AC or DC. It has a minimum conduction current of 3.2 mA and a maximum turn-off current of 1 mA. The typical response time is 12 ms when on and 28 ms when off.

After the current passes through the input point, the result is logic 1 in the input status table (%I). The user can supply the power needed to operate the field device, or the isolated +24 VDC output on the power supply (the bottom two power terminals) can be used to power the DC input. The IC693MDL241 has LED lights that indicate the on/off status of each point on the top of the module. 

The LED block has two parallel drains, each row has eight green leds. The top LED row is identified as LED A1 to 8 (indicating points 1 to 8), and the bottom row is identified as LED B1 to 8 (indicating points 9 to 16).

The IC693MDL241 has an insert for separating the inner and outer surfaces of its hinged door. When the door is closed, the surface facing the inside of the module displays circuit wiring information, while the external surface can record circuit identification information. The blue color on the left outer edge of the plug-in indicates the low-voltage module. The IC693MDL241 module can be installed in any I/O slot on a 5-slot or 10-slot baseplate in a 90-30 series PLC system.
