The IC693MDL655 is a high-density digital input module that is part of Emerson Automation's Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) platform. This input module is designed to be mounted on any 90-30 series substrate, whether CPU, I/O expansion or remote I/O substrate. It is installed directly on any available I/O slot on a 5-slot or 10-slot baseboard and occupies only a single SOT. In addition, the module is compatible with embedded 90-30 cpus and modular 90-30 cpus.
As a high-density input module, it has thirty-two (32) input points, divided into four (4) groups of eight (8) inputs. Each channel is compatible with on/off devices operating in a voltage signal range of 0-30 VDC and a nominal voltage of 24 VDC. Typical on/off devices used with this module include limit switches, level switches, proximity switches, auxiliary contacts, push button devices, and other devices for similar work.
Unlike other digital input modules, the IC693MDL655 uses two (2) male 24-pin type connectors with the order number Fujitsu FCN-365P024-AU. It is pre-installed on the front panel of the module, which interfaces with input groups A, B, C, and D. This requires the use of a pre-wired cable purchased separately. Compatible with pre-wired cables IC693CBL327 and IC693CBL328. In addition, the cable can be customized.
The IC693MDL655 is also equipped with an LED status indicator with a group identifier. The LED indicator is labeled A1-A8 (Group 1); B1-B8 (Group 2); C1-C8 (Group 3) and D1-D8 (Group 4).
The IC693MDL655 module is a 24 volt DC input module. The module has positive and negative logic with 32 input points divided into 4 groups of 8 inputs each. The input voltage range of the IC693MDL655 module is 0 to 30 V DC. The rated isolation voltage between the magnetic field side and the logical side is 1500 V. The input current rate is 7.0 mA typical conduction current and the voltage is 24 V DC. The on-voltage is 11.5 to 30 V DC, while the off state voltage is 0 to 5 V DC. The on/off response time is expressed as a maximum of 2 milliseconds. The backplane isolation between the field side and the logical side of the IC693MDL655 module is provided by the optical coupler on the module.
