Product description: Separate output module
The IC693MDL752 is a dual-mode discrete output module in the 90-30 series Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) product family. The product family was previously manufactured by GE Fanuc, but was recently acquired by Emerson Automation. The module supports 12/24 VDC mode and 5VDC TTL mode, negative logic output module. It has thirty-two (32) point outputs, four (4) per group, and eight (8) output channels per group. Depending on the mode of operation of the module, the output current at each point will be different. Specifically, in 12/24 VDC mode, the module's output current rating is 0.5 amps per point, 4 amps per group, and a maximum of 3 amps per common pin, while when configured to operate in TTL mode, the output current rating is 0.25 mA per output channel. Again, the output voltage varies depending on the mode selected. In 12/24 VDC mode, the output voltage range is 10.2-28.8 VDC and the nominal output is 24 VDC. For TTL mode, the output voltage ranges from 4.75VDC to 5.25VDC, with a nominal output voltage of 5 VDC. Each output group can be configured independently to run in 12/24 VDC or TTL mode, providing operational flexibility. The module is rated for 1500 volts of isolation between the field side and the logical side, and 250 volts of isolation between groups. Two (2) methods are recommended when connecting the output device to this module, in particular the direct method using the IC693CBL327 and IC693CBL328 pre-wired cables, where one end is the pre-assembled connector and the other end of the cable is the fly wire. Another supported method is the TBQC method that utilizes the terminal quick connection.
The IC693MDL752 is a 5-24 volt DC rated TTL negative logic output module for GE Fanuc's 90-30 series PLCS. The IC693MDL752 negative logic output module provides 32 discrete outputs arranged into four groups isolated from each other. Each set of four outputs has its own commonality. The output ON the module is a perfusion type output or a negative logic output whose ON state corresponds to the active low level output state. The IC693MDL752 negative logic output module works in two modes. In TTL mode, the module output can switch loads at 5 volts DC and can absorb 25 mA peak current per point. In 12/24 V DC mode, the module output can switch loads at 12 to 24 V DC and can absorb up to 0.5 amps of peak current per point.
Each set of outputs on the IC693MDL752 negative logic output module can be used in the operating mode required for any particular application. When using different groups in different operating modes, the effect of electrical noise should be considered. Each output point provides an integrated pull-up resistor. Backplane isolation between the logical side and the field side is provided via optical couplers. The LED indicator IC693MDL752 on the negative logic output module provides status updates of the output point. The IC693MDL752 negative logic output module uses 32-bit discrete output data. The connection from the negative logic output module to the output circuit IC693MDL752 is made via a 24-pin male connector mounted on the front of the I/O module. The maximum rated current in TTL mode and 12/24 volt mode is 25 mA and 0.5 amp per point, respectively.
