The 8290-195 Electric Governor (EPG) is designed for precise isochronous speed control in diesel engines. The electric governor is particularly suitable for prime movers that have no mechanical drive or governor hydraulic oil supply and have low-quality, low-friction fuel links.
The 8290-195 EPG is part of a complete control system consisting of three components, including:
Electronic speed control
Electric actuator (order separately, see 12 V application options below)
Magnetic pickup (order separately)
The actuator type number option has the following working output:
Model 512 30°, 0.7J (0.5ft-lb) full governor stroke (Item No. 8256-022)
Model 712 full governor travel 35°, 1.6J (1.2ft-lb) (Code: 8256-017)
All actuator output shafts have a 0.375 "-36 SAE sawtooth at each end
