8516-039 TG-13 Die-cast Aluminum Mechanical Hydraulic Governor Control API611 Steam turbine drives pumps, compressors or generators that do not require synchronous (constant speed) operation. The 8516-039 governor perceives the turbine rotor speed via an input drive shaft, compares this speed to an internal speed set point, and then controls the turbine inlet steam flow using a rotating output shaft connected to the turbine speedeater valve to control the turbine inlet steam flow.
This independent governor utilizes an integrated driveshaft-driven ball head assembly to detect turbine speed of the vortex 8516-039 and an integrated driveshaft-driven oil pump to generate the output force needed to move/control the turbine speed-regulating valve.
