P0917HA FBM220 Voltage monitor/Contact sensing input module functions as a 16-channel DC voltage monitor or 16-channel contact sensor. Each channel accepts 2-wire input from the DC voltage source P0917HA FBM220 or to a contact or solid-state switch. Related Terminal components (TAs) support discrete input signals at 60v DC, 120v AC/ 125v DC or 240v AC voltages. For voltages above 60vDC, TAs has additional signal conditioning hardware that provides voltage attenuation and optical isolation.
Each discrete input is isolated from other channels and geoelectricity. Use external excitation when groups are isolated.
The module performs the required signal conversion from the field sensor to the electrical input signal interface of the redundant module fieldbus. In addition, it performs programs for discrete inputs, ladder logic, pulse counting, and event sequences, and has configurable options for input filter times.
The module can be used as a single unit or as a redundant pair (two FBM207s). When used as redundant pairs, these modules combine to provide redundancy at the field bus module (FBM) level, where the field input signal is received from a common terminal component via a redundant adapter attached to the FBM mainboard. Input current of the redundant module is doubled. Redundant digital input blocks in the Foxboro Evo™ control software validate each input along with the module's information and select the input of the highest quality for processing in the control strategy. In a redundant configuration, the contact sensing power from each module is diode in a redundant adapter or together to ensure redundant power.
