The compact FBM240 is an 8-channel input and 8-channel output FoxboroTM DCS Fieldbus module (FBM) available as a single or redundant module. Redundant pair
These modules are combined to provide redundancy at the FBM level to which field/output connections are made
A common terminal component (see Figure 1). Each module independently holds the output at its specified output value, and each independently reads the observed value of its output.
This module is part of the Compact 200 Series I/0 Subsystem Overview (PSS 41H-2COV). Each output in a redundant contact output block verification in the control software is combined with information from the input/output module.
