The FBM216b provides a redundant module for eight independently isolated HART® input channels. Each channel receives either a 4 to 20mA analog signal or a digital HART® signal superimposed on a 4 to 20mA analog signal.
The main features of the FBM216b module include:
Eight independently isolated analog input channels.
Each channel accepts one of the following inputs:
Standard 4 to 20 mA analog sensor signal
The digital HART frequency shift keying (FSK) signal is superimposed on the 4 to 20 mA analog signal.
Module pairs provide redundancy at the FBM level
FSK modems are dedicated to each input channel for two-way digital communication with HART field devices
The 4 to 20 mA input signal from the HART device is transferred analogically
Supports HART generic commands required to connect field devices to the I/A Series ® system database
Each channel of each of the 8 input channels is isolated from each other, grounded and module logic
