Desciption
The FBM241d is a channel-isolated digital input/output interface assembly with eight digital input channels and eight digital output channels. The associated terminal components (TAs) support digital input/output signals with voltages below 60V dc, 120V ac/125Vdc, or 240v ac. Depending on the type of input/output signal required, the associated terminal part (TAs) has a current limiting device, a fuse, a relay, or a relay output with internal and external power supplies and fuses. Each digital input and output is electrically isolated from other channels and ground.

The compact design of the FBM241d components and the pressed aluminum housing provide physical protection for the electronic circuit. The cabinet is specially designed to provide installation protection for FBM in a variety of environments, even harsh environments as defined by ISA standard S71.04.
