Desciption

The IC200PWR102J is an expansion power module that is part of the VersaMax product family. The module is currently manufactured by Emerson Automation, formerly GE Intelligent Platform (GE IP). It is primarily used to power the VersaMax backplane, which the installed module uses to power a single internal circuit for operation.

When connected to an external power supply providing 85-132 VAC (120 VAC, nominal) and 176-264 VAC (240 VAC, nominal), the IC200PWR102J operates with an input frequency range of 47-63 Hz and input power of 27 VA. This power supply provides output voltages of 5 VDC and 3.3 VDC, and output currents of 1.0 amps (3.3 VDC) and 1.5 amps (5 VDC), but the output current of the module must not exceed the total maximum output current of 1.5 amps.

The IC200PWR102J  input voltage selection is configured by installing jumpers on the two (2) terminals located to the right of the ground terminal. After the jumper is installed, the module accepts a nominal voltage of 120 VAC, otherwise, without the jumper installed, the module is rated at 240 VAC, the nominal value.

The IC200PWR102J is a power module for use with VersaMax input and output modules, Network Interface Unit (NIU) m intelligent modules, and central processing Unit (CPU). When mounted on a power booster carrier, the module can also be used as a supplementary power module. For module protection, the hardware has built-in short circuit and overload protection.

The GE Fanuc Versamax IC200PWR102J expansion power unit powers devices connected to the PLC backplane, such as network interface units (NIU), input and output units (I/O), and central processing unit (CPU). It uses AC power as its main power supply, which is different from other types of modules in the Versamax family that use DC power. Although it is used as the main power supply in a PLC, it can also be used as an auxiliary power supply when connected to a power boost carrier. The IC200PWR102J extended power supply unit has an input voltage of 120 to 240 volts AC and an output voltage of 5 volts DC and 3.3 volts DC. The module has an extended power supply function, which means that the power supply can be extended to 3.3 volts of direct current. It has an input power of 27 volt-ampere and a hold time of about 20 milliseconds.
