The IC693ACC302A is an auxiliary battery pack designed to provide longer memory retention times for various 90-30 series, 90-70 series, and even PACSystems controllers. The battery pack has a capacity of 15.0 ampere-hours, is capable of providing up to 15 months of memory backup when used with IC693 CPU374 controllers, and when used with model 311-364 IC693 cpus and all existing IC697 cpus. Provides up to 75 months of memory backup.
By maintaining the CPU's memory, especially random access memory (RAM), continuous operation can be experienced even after power cycles, maintenance shutdowns, and even unplanned power outages, as this auxiliary backup battery internally powers volatile memory by providing the necessary low voltage level and prevents erasing the contents of the memory.
The IC693ACC302A is made of black flame retardant ABS plastic and comes with a 2.0 foot (0.6 m) twisted red/black 24 AWG lead with a 2-pin female connector to connect the battery to the module. It has a shelf life of 7 years and ideally operates in a temperature range of 0-60 degrees Celsius.
In order to comply with environmental requirements, the IC693ACC302A consumed needs to be disposed of safely. In addition, in order to identify the manufacturing information of the battery pack, a date code is provided for battery disposal reference. Any unused battery pack that has passed its multi-year shelf life must be disposed of immediately.
The battery is a panel mount device that needs to be mounted to the housing using four #8-32 x 1/2 "flat head mechanical screws. The installation of this battery pack must refer to the position of the battery connector, which varies according to the selected baseplate.
