The IC693MDL740 is a GE Fanuc 90-30 series Programmable Logic controller (PLC) module. The module is a positive logic output module, specifically, providing current from the module's common power bus or positive power bus to the connected load. It has two (2) groups of eight (8) channels each with a rated load of 0.5 amps per channel.
The IC693MDL740 has a front panel LED indicator located at the top of the module. These leds represent the driving status of each channel of the module and the operating status of the module. As a source output module, each channel of the module is capable of powering common electrical loads such as contactors, relays, indicators, buzzers, horns, and other D24 VDC powered devices. The module does not come with an internal fuse, so an external fuse can be installed to further protect the module.
The IC693MDL740 fits into any available slot on a 5-slot or 10-slot 90-30 series baseplate. As long as the controller has enough memory to accommodate this 16-point output module, the number of module instances will vary.
The IC693MDL740 has a rated voltage of 12/24 VDC and an operating voltage range of 12 to 24 VDC (+20%, -15%). The module's output features include 4.78 amps of inrush current (lasting 10 ms), maximum output voltage drop of 1 VDC, OFF state leakage current of 1 mA, on response time of 2 ms, and maximum and off response time of 2 ms. The power consumption of the module is 110 mA (with all outputs turned on) from the 5 V bus on the backplane.
