IC695PNC001 is a PROFINET controller module. The module was previously manufactured by GE Intelligence Platform (GE IP) and is now manufactured by Emerson Automation. The PROFINET controller enables the RX3i CPU to send and receive data over the PROFINET network.
The IC695PNC001 is compatible with PACSystem RX3i CPU315 or CPU320 with firmware version 7.0 or higher. The module comes with two (2) RJ-45s and two (2) SFP slots with SFP connectors and is sold separately. Only one IP address is assigned to these PROFINET ports. A single CPU can install up to four (4) IC695PNC001s and must be located only on the host shelf where the CPU is located. Up to sixty-four (64) I/O devices can be connected to one (1) controller; Each network has 128 I/O devices, distributed among eight (8) I/O controllers. In addition, up to eight (8) I/O devices can be installed in a single network.
