National Instruments PCI-5154 oscilloscope
The National Instruments PCI-5154 (Part number: 780320-01, 780320-02 and 780320-03) is an 8-bit, 1 GHz bandwidth PCI oscilloscope device with 2 synchronous sampling channels. Each of the two channels on the device can independently collect samples at a rate of approximately 2 GS/s. These analog input channels are designed to operate at 50 Ω input impedance and support AC, DC, and GND input coupling. The NI PCI-5154 provides 8-bit resolution, while the DC accuracy in the 0.1V to 1V input range is still around ± 1.0% + 1.3% FS of the input. The device is equipped with a 20 MHz noise filter as a bandwidth-limiting filter with a typical rise/fall time of 428 ps.
The NI PCI-5154 has an integrated onboard clock (internal VCSO). The clock has a wide real-time sampling range of 15.26 kS/s to 1 GS/s. The model can collect samples in the range of 2 GS/s to 20 GS/s when operating in random interleaved sampling mode. The device's front panel SMB connector (PFI 0) provides a connection to an external sampling clock. The 780320-01 can be inserted into any compatible PCI slot. Therefore, the instrument does not require a PXI box to operate.
The National Instruments PCI-5154 is a lightweight and compact device with all connectors mounted on the front panel. The oscilloscope device offers 8 MB of onboard memory and is capable of processing up to 32,768 records. Another outstanding feature of the NI PCI 5154 is its self-calibration capability. Calibration corrects offset, timing error, gain, trigger, etc.
