The VMIC VMIVME-3122 / VMIVME-3122A is a high-resolution, 16-bit, 64-channel analog scanning and digital input board for VMEbus system applications. Dual-port data memory, onboard timer, automatic control gain and programmable bus circuit breaker enable the VMIVME-3122 to support a wide range of analog input traffic while minimizing the involvement of the host processor.

The VMIVME-3122 is a member of VMIC's extensive VMEbus analog input/output product family. The VMIVME-3122 features 16-bit digital resolution, program-controlled gain, selectable conversion rates, and automatic scanning of 64 differential or single-ended analog inputs, providing excellent dynamic range and analog input channel density. Supports multiple modes of operation, including automatic scanning, data burst, and external synchronization. The board is designed to connect directly to VMIC's signal conditioning board family for digitizing the output of thermocouples, RTDS and strain gauges.

A single channel gain can be downloaded for use during a scan operation, or the board can be configured as a fixed gain common to all channels. Multiple boards can be synchronized together, enabling up to 16 boards to initiate each scan simultaneously. Interval timers, bus interrupters, channel counters, and mid-scan/end-scan flags simplify the monitoring of data in the two-port data buffer. System applications that can benefit from VMIVME-3122's capabilities include factory automation, process control, data acquisition systems, training simulators and laboratory instruments.
