The GE Fanuc IC660BSM120 Genius I/O Bus switching module is a simple and reliable module that can be used to connect Genius I/O blocks to 2 serial buses simultaneously. Different from the IC660BSM021 switch module, the IC660BSM120 switch module uses AC/DC power supply and is suitable for I/O modules that support AC. The IC660BSM120 switch module is designed to connect up to 8 I/O modules on the same pair of serial buses, and connecting additional IC660BSM120 modules can increase Genius I/O module connections to up to 30 modules on the same pair of buses. A properly configured dual-bus configuration not only connects the I/O module to the serial bus, but also stores the communication path in the event of a bus failure. The operation of the IC660BSM120 Switching Module is controlled by the Phase B discrete module in the cluster connection. During operation, the first circuit on this I/O block can be configured as a dedicated output for the bus switch module.
The GE Fanuc IC660BSM120 switch module is configured using the Genius Handheld Monitor (HHM) or through CPU programming and can also be used to switch between buses. When bus B is selected, the IC660BSM120 switch module operates in a voltage range of 90 to 130 volts AC and 95 to 150 volts DC. When bus A is active, its rated operating voltage is less than 65 volts AC/DC, and the maximum current consumption is 60 mA at 115 volts AC and 12 mA at 120 volts DC.
