The IC693CHS392 is an extended baseboard compatible with the 90-30 series platforms. The hardware allows additional baseboards hosting the 90-30 series modules to be interlinked to maximize the capacity of the central controller and meet the control requirements of the system, in particular to accommodate more I/O points and implement special functions. The IC693CHS392 was previously manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation and has now been acquired by Emerson Automation. The baseplate provides ten (10) mounting slots for up to ten 90-30 Series standard I/O modules and option modules. This backboard is compatible with cpus 331, 340, and 341, where up to four (4) backboards can be interlinked, and cpus 350 and later, where up to seven (7) can be installed. When connecting the backboard to the CPU backboard, the maximum cable length must not exceed 50 feet or 15 meters, otherwise the CPU will not recognize the extended backboard or the entire configuration is invalid. In addition, smart modules such as PCM, ADC, BEM330 and CMM modules are not compatible with installation to the expansion backboard. These modules are installed on the CPU baseboard. In addition to the I/O slot, a power slot is provided on the baseboard for the installation of the power module for power-on and distribution. Expansion ports are also provided to allow interconnection of other expansion baseboards. The base plate is for panel mounting only and is secured by mounting latches located to the far left and right of the hard wire. In addition, proper grounding must be observed to protect the module and minimize electrical noise.

The IC693CHS392 baseboard is an extension baseboard of GE Fanuc. It is compatible with the 90-30 series GE PLC systems. It is a PLC chassis, but it can also be used as an extension for other I/ OS located in different locations. The backboard is used with a PLC system or connected to a personal computer using a PCI card. It can connect up to seven cpus at a time, depending on the CPU model. The IC693CHS392 baseboard is built with an open architecture and is easily accessible during installation and replacement.
