GE Fanuc IC693CMM304 Alspa N80 communication module is the communication module of GE Fanuc Alspa series C80-35 PLC. The IC693CMM304 communication module belongs to the N80 communication module family and enables global data transfer between Alspa C80-35 PLC cpus. All Alspa C80-35 PLCS support high-speed data sharing between CPU modules over a network using N80 Global data. When using the N80 global data in operation, the IC693CMM304 communication module provides an interface between the 90-30 series PLC and the GE Fanuc I/O links that are exclusive to the CNC or 90-70 series PLC. The IC693CMM304 communication module is the first N80 communication module in this series. The broadcast or reception of data is limited to %G (global) addresses, and the data exchange capacity is 32 bits per serial bus address.

The GE Fanuc IC693CMM304 communication module also supports high-speed global data sharing between Alspa 8000 PLC cpus connected on the same network. The global data sharing function is pre-configured in this mode and no other configuration is required. The IC693CMM304 communication module is capable of reading global data from up to seven other N80 communication modules. The IC693CMM304 communication module is configured using Windows-based programming software or MS-DOS programming software. The IC693CMM304 communication module is configured as a slave device only and can be mounted on any 90-30 series I/O rack. It supports the transfer of 62 or 32 I/O points over the I/O link from the 90-30 series PLC. The communication module has a rated operating voltage of 5 volts DC, a maximum backplane current consumption of 1.3 amps, and a transport weight of approximately 2.2 pounds.
