GE Fanuc IC693CMM305 Enhanced N80 communication module is an intelligent communication module for Alspa C80-35 PLC system. The module is from the GE Fanuc Enhanced N80 communication module family. The N80 communication module is used to connect the 90-30 series PLC to the proprietary Fanuc I/O link. The IC693CMM305 enhanced N80 communication module enables global data sharing between Alspa C80-35 CPU modules. Unlike other PLCS in its class, the Alspa C80-35 PLC supports very fast data sharing with multiple connected cpus by using N80 global data. When the IC693CMM305 enhanced N80 communication module is used with a bus controller such as the IC693BEM334 Buse controller in an Alspa C80-35 CPU firmware version 5 or later, It can broadcast up to 128 bytes of I/O data to other PLCS or computers near the network.

This combination of the GE IC693CMM305 enhanced N80 communication module and the IC693BEM334 bus controller module can also receive up to 128 bytes of data from up to 30 NBC devices on the network. The IC693CMM305 enhanced N80 communication module also supports data sharing between Alspa 8000 PLCS on the Alps N80 network, which requires no additional configuration. The IC693CMM305 module is configured using MS-DOS or Windows-based configuration software. If configured properly, the IC693CMM305 enhanced N80 communication module enables global data transfer at the I/O reference address based on the serial bus address of the device on the network. In general, the IC693CMM305 enhanced N80 communication module can read global data from up to seven other N80 communication modules.
