The IC693MDL632 positive/negative logic input module is rated at 125 volts DC and is manufactured as part of the GE Series 90-30 PLC product line. It has 8 independent input points, evenly distributed into 2 independent groups, each with a common point. These common modules are not bundled together and are not connected in the body of the module. The module is compatible with a 90-30 series PLC or programmable logic controller and can be used after the module is mounted on a 5-slot or 10-slot I/O baseboard. To run the field device, the user of the IC693MDL632 module must power it. The input device must also be linked, and this connection is established between the module's input and the power bus. There are also input devices that perfectly match different input characteristics, such as buttons, limit switches, and electronic proximity switches.

The GE Fanuc IC693MDL632 logic input module has positive or negative logic characteristics, depending on the design. This module can absorb current from the positive logic of the input device to the operator's common or negative power bus. The IC693MDL632 module can also take current from the input device and send it to the negative logic of the positive power bus. At the top of this module, there is an LED block with multiple indicators in 2 horizontal rows. The module has only 8 input points, and it uses a top-row LED to display the status of all 8 points, such as the "ON" or "OFF" status of each point. The module has a hinged door and a plug-in between the inside and outside door surfaces.
