The IC693MDL752 is a dual-mode discrete output module in the 90-30 series Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) product family. The product family was previously manufactured by GE Fanuc, but was recently acquired by Emerson Automation. The module supports 12/24 VDC mode and 5VDC TTL mode, negative logic output module. It has thirty-two (32) point outputs, four (4) per group, and eight (8) output channels per group. Depending on the mode of operation of the module, the output current at each point will be different. Specifically, in 12/24 VDC mode, the module's output current rating is 0.5 amps per point, 4 amps per group, and a maximum of 3 amps per common pin, while when configured to operate in TTL mode, the output current rating is 0.25 mA per output channel. Again, the output voltage varies according to the selected mode. In 12/24 VDC mode, the output voltage range is 10.2-28.8 VDC and the nominal output is 24 VDC. For TTL mode, the output voltage ranges from 4.75VDC to 5.25VDC, with a nominal output voltage of 5 VDC. Each output group can be configured independently to run in 12/24 VDC or TTL mode, providing operational flexibility. The module has a rated isolation voltage of 1500 V between the field side and the logical side, and 250 V between the groups. Two (2) methods are recommended when connecting the output device to this module, in particular the direct method using the IC693CBL327 and IC693CBL328 pre-wired cables, where one end is the pre-assembled connector and the other end of the cable is the fly wire. Another supported method is the TBQC method of rapid connection using the terminal block.
The IC693MDL752 is a 5 to 24 volt DC rated TTL negative logic output module from GE Fanuc for use in the 90-30 series PLC. The IC693MDL752 negative logic output module provides 32 discrete outputs divided into 4 groups isolated from each other. Each set of 4 outputs has its own common. The output ON the module is a perfusion type output or a negative logic output, where the ON state corresponds to the low-level active output state. The IC693MDL752 negative logic output module works in two modes. In TTL mode, the module output can switch loads between 5 volts DC voltage and can absorb 25 mA peak current per point. In 12/24 volt DC mode, the module output can switch loads between 12 and 24 volts DC and can absorb a peak current of 0.5 amps per point. Each set of outputs on the IC693MDL752 negative logic output module can be used in the operating mode required for any particular application. When using different groups in different operating modes, the effect of electrical noise should be considered. An integrated pull-up resistor is provided for each output point. Backplane isolation between the logical side and the magnetic field side is provided via an optical coupler. The LED indicator on the IC693MDL752 negative logic output module provides status updates of the output points. The IC693MDL752 negative logic output module uses 32-bit discrete output data. The connection from the IC693MDL752 negative logic output module to the output circuit is made via two 24-pin male connectors mounted on the front of the I/O module. Maximum current output ratings in TTL mode and 12/24 volt mode are 25 mA and 0.5 amps per point, respectively.
