The GE Fanuc IC697BEM735 Remote I/O scanner is an intelligent I/O scanner module for the GE IC697 series 90-70 PLC systems. The module is designed to connect the standard IC697 I/O module and other analog extender modules, PCM and bus transmitters to the IC66 bus system. The IC697BEM735 remote I/O scanner is a simple design consisting of a circuit board covered with a hinged transparent door that serves as a panel. It has 3 LED indicators, illuminated through a transparent hinged door, and the back end of the scanner module is a 9-pin male D-connector, a 15-pin female D-head RS-422/485 serial connector, and 16 detachable IC66 bus terminals.
