The module was previously manufactured by GE Fanuc, but with the recent acquisition by Emerson Automation, the entire product family and modern product family are now owned by Emerson Automation. The IC697PWR720 is installed in the power socket of the 90-70 series baseplate. The main purpose of the module is to provide the necessary voltage and current to the backplane to power the electronic circuits of the module mounted on the backplane. The module provides 18 amps at 5VDC; The backplane is 2 amps at 12 VDC and 1 amp at -12 VDC.
