Beckhoff has introduced four EL336x EtherCAT analog input terminal modules that are ultra-compact and cost-effective for integrating weighing functions into the control system. In particular, the feature of integrated load cell power supply can bring unique application advantages.
The EL336x series EtherCAT analog input terminal modules are compact and cost-effective for high-performance weighing applications
The EtherCAT analog input terminal modules EL3361-0100 and EL3362-0100 can be directly connected to one or two four-wire or six-wire resistance Bridges (strain gauges) or load cells. A 10 V sensor power supply is integrated into the module, with a resolution of 24 bits and a sampling rate of 10 ksps. For more demanding applications, the EL3361 and EL3362 also offer a switchable sensor power supply (5/10 V) as well as digital inputs (e.g., for tare) and outputs (e.g., for ready information) that can be controlled locally or via a controller.
The EL336x analog terminal module is a new addition to Beckhoff's existing range of weighing modules, offering better performance than the EL3351 and more features than the EL3356. The ELM350x series EtherCAT measuring terminal modules support freely adjustable filters, quarter/half Bridges, and higher sampling rates (supporting the TwinCAT 3 Weighing library), making them suitable for extremely demanding dynamic applications that require higher measurement accuracy.
