The Allen-Bradley 1756-72 ERoms is an armored GuardLogix controller. It comes with 2 channels, a 4MB standard memory, 0.98MBIO memory, and a 2MB secure memory, allowing standard and secure communication options on the EtherNeVIP network. The controller has a maximum analog VO of 4000 and a maximum digital VO and total IO of 128,000, respectively. The 1756-L72EROMS also comes with an additional 1GB SD card memory that is installed to the controller, but you can upgrade it to 2 GB.
This controller can support up to 256 EtherNETips and 128 TCP network connections per network module. Note that the 1756-L.72EROMS controller does not have controller redundancy. Available programming languages include structured text, Sequential Function diagrams (SFC), relay logic (RLL), RLL-only security tasks and additional security application instructions, and function block diagrams.
