The sbRIO-9607 (part numbers: 783816-02 and 783816-01) is a CompactRIO board controller. The NI sbRIO-9607 was developed by National Instruments. The sbRIO-9607 belongs to the popular CompactRIO product line. sbRIO-9607 can be activated by NI CompactRIO device driver in August 2015. The NI sbRIO-9607 controller can be used with a variety of applications, including LabVIEW 2015 FPGA modules, LabVIEW 2015 and LabVIEW 2015 Real-Time modules. The supported operating system running the device is NI Linux Real-Time (32-bit). The controller is manufactured using Xilinx Zynq-7000 reconfigurable FPGA. The sbRIO-9607 has a dual-core processor.
The NI sbRIO-9607 uses the ARM Cortex-A9 architecture. The CompactRIO single-board controller features 512 MB of non-volatile memory and 512 MB of volatile memory (DRAM). The sbRIO-9607 offers a processor speed of 667 MHz with a flash restart durability of 100,000 cycles. The NI sbRIO-9607 controller is manufactured with an embedded processor that works in real time. The sbRIO-9607 offers RIO Sandwich card (RMC) connectors. The RMC connector has 96 single-ended digital input/output lines. These digital lines are connected directly to the FPGA and up to two additional peripherals and C-Series devices can be added.
The NI sbRIO-9607 controller has a front panel Ethernet port and an RMC Ethernet port. The controller is equipped with eRS-232 (DTE) serial port, RS-485 serial port, CAN port, USB port and RMC connector. This CompactRIO single-board controller consumes a maximum power consumption of 28 W on RMC. It has a typical battery life of 10 years when used with a power connector and 2.5 years when stored at 55 °C. The NI device weighs 3.069 ounces. It has a recommended operating temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C, storage temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C, non-condensing operation and storage humidity range of 10% RH to 90% RH and 5% RH to 95% RH, respectively.
