GE Fanuc IC660CBB903 Series 6 PLC bus controller is a B-phase bus controller built for GE Series 6 PLC systems. The IC660CBB903 bus controller connects the 6 Series Plus PLC to the serial bus (Genius I/O). The IC660CBB903 bus controller handles all data transfers between the PLC and the devices on the bus. The IC660CBB903 bus controller can be installed in any CPU I/O slot or in a local high-capacity I/O rack 600 meters (2000 ft) from the PLC CPU infrared, in a remote I/O rack with a CPU scan rate greater than 10 ms. The number of bus controllers that can be used in any PLC system is limited only by the I/O capacity of the CPU used in that system.
The IC660CBB903 bus controller can connect up to 31 I/O devices, including Genius I/O blocks, handheld displays, and interface devices, to the Series 6 PLC CPU at a maximum distance of 2,000 feet (600 m) from the CPU. Unlike the IC66OCBB902 bus controller, the IC660CBB903 bus controller does not have an integrated diagnostic function and can easily access the module's diagnostic information from a handheld monitor. The IC66OCBB902 bus controller is a Stage B bus controller with enhancements that make it suitable for buses with baud rates other than the standard 153.6 kilobd rate. The IC66OCBB903 bus controller is also suitable for buses that contain an RTD block or any Genius I/O block that supports 64 input bits and 64 output bits.
