The IC693ACC301 is a replacement battery consisting of two (2) lithium battery cells. These batteries are installed to retain the contents of the CPU's volatile memory or random access memory (RAM). Any 90-30 series CPU requires only one battery.
This lithium battery has an output voltage of 3VDC and a capacity of 2000 mAh. It has a shelf life of 10 years and a rated service life of 1 year, depending on the CPU used and the utilization of the IC693ACC301 battery.
IC693ACC301 plays a key role in maintaining the contents of random access memory (RAM), including user programs. This battery increases uptime and reduces the risk of unexpected controller stops and loss of user programs. When the battery is low, the CPU hosting the power will trigger the BATT LED to activate. This LED activation indicates that the installed battery will lose its charge for a short time.
When installing this battery, ensure that the power supply is actively supplying power to the baseboard. Turning off the power while the battery is unloaded will erase the contents of the RAM. Similarly, when removing an existing battery and installing an IC693ACC301 to replace the battery, use the appropriate force when removing and inserting the connector clamp. Sudden movement and excessive force can damage nearby modules and eventually lead to unplanned downtime.
