The IC693ACC341 backboard is a redundant power supply (RPS) backboard manufactured by GE Fanuc. The IC693ACC341 RPS baseboard supports expansion from the main frame to up to seven additional IC697 PLC racks with interconnect cables up to 15 meters (50 feet). This RPC baseboard occupies one slot and is equipped with 2 connectors. One connector is used to connect the IC693ACC341 RPS baseboard to the CPU or upstream rack. Another connector allows Daisy chain arrangement for connecting additional extension racks. When installing the GE Fanuc IC693ACC341 RPS baseplate, be sure to install the bus receiver module in slot 1.
The GE Fanuc IC693ACC341 RPS baseboard is equipped with 3 green leds. These leds provide status updates of the IC693ACC341 module, the presence of the required I/O bus terminator plug in the last rack, and the status of rack activity. The bus receiver module supports the final state operation of the output module in case communication with the CPU is lost. In addition, it allows users to isolate and repair faulty modules in the rack. When installing the IC693ACC341 RPS baseboard, the user must ground it like any other IC693 PLC baseboard. Each ground wire must have a 12 AWG size wire or a larger wire with a folded ring terminal at the end. In addition, the user must secure one end of each ground wire to a suitable surface on the mounting plate. Often, users need to determine the ideal location to fix the ground wire in their system, as it can vary.
