The IC697PWR711 is a power module in the Ge Fanuc 90-30 series Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) series. The module has optional input voltage compatibility, such as 120 VAC and 240 VAC, as determined by external jumper Settings. For the two nominal vali input voltages, the applicable voltage range is 90 to 132 VAC or 180 to 264 VAC, and the frequency is 47 to 63 Hz.

The IC697PWR711 has an output voltage supply of +5VDC, 12VDC and -12VDC, as well as a logic level ordering signal towards the backplane. This power supply is mounted on the far left side of the 90-30 rack and is connected via a 48-pin backplane connector. This power supply is capable of powering a second rack, provided that the total load of the additional rack does not exceed the IC697PWR711's total capacity of 100 watts. Specifically, the second rack must be less than 5.2 amps. In addition, powering the second rack requires a 3-foot-long connection cable. The second rack must be within range of this cable, as it is designed to operate no more than 3 feet away.

It has a slide-in rack mount structure. +5VDC provides a maximum output of 18 amps, +12VDC a maximum output of 2 amps, and -12VDC a maximum output of 1 amp. The power supply has internal electronic short circuit and overcurrent protection. For branch circuit fuses, an external switch of appropriate size must be installed. The power supply has an ON/OFF switch, which is used to put the power supply into active operation.

The module adopts a slide-in rack structure and uses a single power supply to achieve 2-rack operation. GE Fanuc Automation IC697PWR711 Power module includes electronic short circuit protection and power factor correction when operating at AC voltage. If the GE Fanuc Automation IC697PWR711 power module is to operate continuously in an environment of high temperature and low line voltage, its specifications must be reduced to ensure safe operation. It only works at temperatures below 60 degrees Celsius. The GE Fanuc Automation IC697PWR711 power module is installed in the left slot of the GE IC697 rack or any VME integrated rack and is a plug-in module type. The input half-period peak surge current of the module is 3 amps.
