1900/65A 167699-02 1900/65A Universal device monitor
The 1900/65A Universal Device Monitor is designed to continuously monitor and protect equipment used in a variety of applications and industries. The low cost of this monitor makes it an ideal solution for general-purpose machines and processes that can benefit from continuous monitoring and protection.
input
The 1900/65A offers 4 sensor inputs and 4 temperature inputs. The software can configure each sensor input to support 2-wire and 3-wire accelerometers, speed sensors, or proximity sensors. Each temperature input supports type E, J, K, and T thermocouples, as well as 2-wire or 3-wire RTDS.

exportation
The 1900/65A offers six relay outputs, four 4-20 mA recorder outputs, and a dedicated buffer output. Users can use the 1900 configuration software to configure relay contacts to open or close any channel or combination of channels according to OK, alarm and danger states, and to provide data from any logger output on any variable on any channel. A dedicated buffer output can provide a signal for each transducer input.
The Modbus Gateway option allows the monitor to provide static variables, status, event lists, time and date information directly to any Modbus client, including distributed control systems (dcs), supervisory control and Data acquisition (SCADA) systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCS), or System 1 software. The monitor uses internal counters and Modbus client/master time references to generate time and date information. Users can upgrade monitors without Modbus gateways by ordering the 1900/01 Communications upgrade (see Ordering Information section). The 1900/65A supports Modbus communication over Ethernet and a software-configurable RS232/485 serial port.

disposition
Users create profiles using software running on a laptop or PC and download them to the monitor via a built-in Ethernet connection to define monitor operations and Modbus Gateway register maps. The 1900/65A stores configuration information permanently in non-volatile memory and can upload this information to a PC to make changes.
Display module
The 1900/65A supports an optional display/keyboard to view channel information or make minor configuration changes. This allows 1900/65A to operate as a separate package. If desired, the user can mount the display 75 meters (250 feet) away from the monitoring module.
