9771-210|Analog input terminal board
Tricon control system
The main feature of Tricon is a programmable process control technology with high fault tolerance.
Its characteristics are as follows:
A. Provide a triple modular redundancy structure (TMR) with three identical subcircuits, each performing an independent degree of control. There is also a dedicated hardware/software architecture for "voting" on inputs and outputs.
Able to withstand harsh industrial environments.
C. Can be installed on site, can be on-site online module level installation and maintenance, does not interfere with the field wiring.
D. Supports up to 118 I/O modules (analog and digital) and optional communication modules. Communication module can
Connect to Modbus hosts and dependencies, or Foxboro and Honeywell Distributed Control Systems (DCS), other Tricons in peer-to-peer networks, and external hosts on TCP/IP networks.
E. Supports remote I/O modules up to 12 km away from the host.
F. Develop debugging control program using programming software based on Windows NT system.
G. Intelligent functions of input and output modules to reduce the workload of the main processor. Each I/O module has three microprocessors. The input module's microprocessor filters and repairs the input and diagnoses hardware failures on the module. The output module microprocessor provides information for the voting of the output data, checks the validity of the output state by the feedback loop voltage at the output, and can diagnose field line problems.
H. Provide comprehensive online diagnostic and repair capabilities.
I. Routine maintenance can be performed when Tricon is up and running without interrupting the control process.
J. Provide "hot spare" support for I/O modules, which can be used in some critical situations where service cannot be provided in a timely manner.
