MVI46-DFCM Communication module

1. Technical specifications

Compatibility: Is a communication module compatible with the CompactLogix/MicroLogix 1500 LRP backplane, which supports the EtherNet/IP (DF1 for Ethernet) protocol.
Port configuration: The module has one or more EtherNet ports that allow users to configure up to 100 commands for sending read or write commands to remote devices on EtherNet/IP networks.
Data exchange: Supports automatic detection mode and can adapt to different baud rate Settings, including 9.6 kBaud, 19.2 kBaud, 45.45 kBaud, etc., to meet different data transmission requirements.
Data capacity: Each slave supports up to 244 bytes of input and output data, with a total input capacity of up to 2440 bytes (based on 244 bytes per slave).
Second, functional characteristics

Efficient communication: Provides efficient communication capabilities through EtherNet/IP protocols to ensure fast and accurate data transfer between PLC, PAC and host HMI systems.
Flexible configuration: The module supports multiple independently configurable serial ports, allowing users to select master or slave modes according to actual needs, as well as configure different Modbus networks.
Easy integration: As part of the CompactLogix/MicroLogix 1500 LRP backplane, it can be easily integrated into existing automation systems, reducing additional hardware and software configuration.
Scalability: This module supports expansion, allowing users to add more communication ports or functions as needed to meet the growing system requirements.

Pentium III 733 MHz(or higher) Recommended operating systems:
o Microsoft ®Windows 98
o Windows NT®(Version 4 and SP4 or later)
o Windows 2000
o Windows XP at least 32 mb RAM, 64 mb RAM recommended
50 Mbytes of free hard disk space (or more depending on your application)

Set the jumper to act as "write protection" for the module's flash memory. In "write protect" mode, the setup pin is not connected and the firmware of the module cannot be overwritten. Do not jump wire mounting pins together unless ProSoft technical support instructs you to do so. 1.4 Installing the Module to the Rack Install the SLC processor and power supply before installing the MVI46-DFCM module if you have not already installed and configured them. Refer to the Rockwell Automation product documentation for installation instructions. Warning: When installing this or any other electronic device, you must follow all safety instructions for the device. Failure to follow safety procedures can result in damage to hardware or data, or even serious injury or death. Please refer to the documentation connection for each device you plan to use to verify that proper safety procedures are in place before installing or servicing the device. After checking the position of the jumper, insert the MVI46-DFCM into the SLC™ chassis. Automatically remove and install SLC™ modules using the same techniques recommended by Rockwell. Warning: This module is not hot-swappable! Ensure that the power supply is removed from the rack before installation. Inserting or removing the module may cause damage to the module, processor, or other components. 1 Power off.
