The MVI56E-61850S is an Ethernet communication module for communication between Rockwell Automation's ControlLogix PACs (Programmable Automation Controller) and IEC 61850 standard Ethernet. This allows non-intelligent substation equipment, such as transformers and switchgear, to feed their data to SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems as IEC 61850 IED (Intelligent Electronic Devices).
